Founding Members Day: Makerspace soft-launch (UPDATED 2/4/13)

On Feb 9th, 2013 at 2pm we will have a "Founding Members Day" event at the Tech Valley Center of Gravity makerspace in 35 4th St, Troy, NY. This will be a major milestone in the growth of the Maker community, with a permanent community-organized makerspace to serve the Capital District. This event will have discussions and presentations, and will coordinate our activities in equipping and operating the Makerspace. We will also be accepting official membership applications (and dues!) at the meeting, so if you want to be listed as a Founding Member, you'll want to be there!!!

UPDATE (2/4/13): Part of the festivities will be a member number auction where founding members will have a chance to bid on selecting their favorite number as their member number. Numbers 1 - 99 will be available for bidding. Want to be founding member #1? Be there to bid!

Please help us spread the word using the drop card pdf found at:

Simply print the PDF, cut into 4 cards per page and hand them out to friends you know would be interested. Leave them in the break room at work! Use guerrilla marketing to help us have a huge turnout for the inaugural event!

I'm interested in becoming a member, and plan to attend. I don't see any mention of dues anywhere but this post. Can you point me to more info on that?
